River Bend is nearing the end of the construction of its new facilities which started in 2005. This development includes the newly opened Ruby N. Priddy Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, the J.S. Bridwell Terrace and the Prairie Pathways. The Bryant Edwards Learning Center and the United Children's Garden are scheduled for completion this spring. These beautiful facilities are a welcome addition to the Elizabeth Prothro Pavilion, a 6,700 square foot covered outdoor gathering area that is becoming increasingly popular for receptions, parties, family gatherings, class reunions, and weddings. River Bend offers over 15 acres of trails, wetlands and ponds to walk and enjoy. Come discover which bird species spend the winter in our woods or what creatures prowl our trails by night.
